Water Cooled temperature sending light conversion. Most dealers are foregoing the combination temperature and oil sending light in favor of only 1 light the temperature warning light. Most kids are too small to make the judgment call on the track or on the trail therefore the one light is preferred by 98% of parents. How do you do this?
1) Connect the brown and orange and brown wires that run to the oil tank together. The light should immediately come on the brown is a positive feed and the orange and brow will now become a positive feed.
2) Disconnect the black wire from the oil indicator light
3) Run a wire from the oil indicator light to the temperature sensor on the head. The light goes off when the sensor heats up and it creates a ground the light will than come on. |
